BOTOX BREAK FOR BEIJING
The nationwide Botox endorsement tour of Olympic champions Mark Spitz and Nadia Comaneci is about to take a break during the Beijing Olympics.
The “Your Personal Best” tour, which began early this month, will resume Aug. 28 in Philadelphia and will reach Orange County in November. It is scheduled for Nov. 17 at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
The campaign, arranged by Botox maker Allergan, promotes cosmetic use of the injectable drug and encourages people to exercise, avoid stress and get enough sleep. For sign-ups to attend or for other tour dates, visit the tour Web site.
When this post was published, readers of In Your Face were divided in the ongoing survey about whether athletes should endorse Botox. “Yes, why not?” had 53 percent of the vote, with 47 percent voting no.
