Greta Scacchi says plastic surgery patients resemble ‘dead fish’

Actress Greta Scacchi, 48, took an anti-plastic-surgery stance in a recent interview with the English newspaper The Observer.

One reasons, she said, was an incident in the past when she asked a plastic surgeon for advice about work around her eyes. Instead he told her she should fix her nose, her jaw, and her chin.

That history fits with her claim that plastic surgery patients “always look nicer in the before pictures.” She said:

I went to a plastic surgeon to see if anything could be done for the hollows below my eyes. They’ve always been a problem — I’ve got them in my baby photos.

He told me my nose was too small, my under bite was too big, and the distance between my mouth and the bottom of my chin was too great.

I left that place devastated and then he sent me a bill. People always look nicer in the before pictures — it only takes a little pull and you look like a dead fish.
